28 Nov Riot Games. One of the major changes to League of Legends ahead of Season 7 is how ranked play functions. Does preseason impact your MMR: Yes! When does it reset: Disadvantages: Matchmaking problems still abound, and mismatched groups (duo bot lane vs. individuals, group of 5 vs. 3 and 2). I just played a normal game where it was 1 gold with 2 bronze, somebody not even 30 yet, and an unranked with worse than bronze normal stats on my LoL Nexus Screenshot. Mind you, it was normals, and doesn't really count tl;dr you have no idea how matchmaking works. permalink; embed; save. We are all lvl We got beat in the beginning and one of them was kinda fed. However we managed to beat them after lvl 6 because we always took advantage of 3vs2 situations and good teamfights. My question is how does the matchmaking work? I thought we were put against people with the same lvl.

Matchmaking fail: League of Legends Normal queue

Team Soraka for Extra Life Does Riot just give fuck all about their normal matchmaking? I just played a normal game where it was 1 gold with link bronze, somebody not even 30 yet, and an unranked with worse than bronze normal stats on my team who got to 30 playing literally nothing but AI games and ARAM he had 2 normal games played, evervs 2 plats, a silver, a gold, and an unranked player who was gold last season.

Mind you, it was normals, and doesn't really count for anything, but I like to have fun in normals and try new things, but there is absolutely nothing fun when you're getting steam rolled due to the other team having items more than your most fed player.

I understand exactly what you're saying.

How Does League Of Legends Normal Matchmaking Work

Yes normal mmr is different but it still shouldn't be placing bronze and a sub level player with you considering you're the only How Does League Of Legends Normal Matchmaking Work above wins and their entire team consists of over and and one Ya matchmaking has struck again, you're unlucky day. Most of the times though, when I just want to have a fun match or try out new champs, it's overwhelming.

They punish every single mistake harder than I'm used to, they do far less mistakes than players on my level, and they seem to know every champion's limits so much better. Everyone's like "be glad, you can learn so much from them" I understand this, but a player who plays check this out a bronze level in ranked is not going to play any better in normal, and although somebody who is platinum can fuck around and not take a normal game seriously at all and can play at the level of a bronze, its not extremely likely.

They still have way stronger mechanics and know what they're doing at least. There's a big difference between somebody practicing a champion and doing bad with him, vs somebody who just doesn't know what they're doing I have a friend who is Gold in ranked but hates solo queue and never queues. That's why the two queues have separate MMR.

Normal games provide an environment where anyone can play with anyone and be matched against an enemy team with a similar 'normal game mmr'. Clearly the title stated normal matchmaking. Exactly the problem with your post. Because it is a normal game your post is pointless. If it were a ranked game it would make sense that matchmaking screwed up.

How Does League Of Legends Normal Matchmaking Work

I understand that normals have a different MMR, but you obviously don't understand that a player who can achieve platinum is leagues above players who can't get out of bronze. The players ranking wasn't my gripe.

If the win was "unexpected" i. As you know, there are no public tiers and divisions in LoL normal and normal draft games but MMR system is still working. Initially, the system will only match you with very similar players based on the rating you have been assigned. Well, everyone had a big opinion on this, often with very inaccurate assumptions, and I thought I'd set it out there so peolpe could educate each other on it. Others mix pre-mades and solos freely, and to be fair in these cases, we performed analysis on several hundreds of thousands of games to identify how much go here a skill advantage this gives people.

My quality and experience gap is my gripe. The fact that shitty fucking players who are derping in bronze are getting matched up against players who are playing at a platinum level is fucked up and read more unfun, especially for the one player on the team who can compete at that level. I didn't say that they all did.

What I said is that their stats in normals are equivalent to that of a bronze player. As in, if they did play ranked, they would be at the bottom of bronze, no match for somebody Platinum 4.

First game I played in diamond 4 I won aswell, but I still only got 11lp. We often get teams with one solo player not premade with the others that is unranked or low bronze and he gets absolutely destroyed. Sometimes it's interesting, but usually it's just stressing. It's frustrating and I don't have an idea how to solve the issue.
